Walking & Navigating Stone Paths
All internal travel within Khezhakeno is on foot. Hand-hewn stone paths and stepped alleys connect clan homesteads, the charred Tso Tawo spirit stone, ancient village gates (*Kharu*), and clan morungs. Exploring the main village heritage circuit takes roughly 2 to 3 hours.
Hiring a Certified Village Guide
To fully appreciate the rich anthropological history and clan migration legends, hire a knowledgeable local guide through the Khezhakeno Village Council or your homestay host (₹800–₹1,200). Local guides explain the legend of Chief Koza, showcase the ancient gate-pulling monoliths, unlock the Tribal Heritage Museum, and point out historic boundary stones.
Excursion Transport to Chida Lake & Neighboring Towns
For visiting Chida Lake and Chida Post (4 km east), travelers can take a scenic 1-hour walk along the ridge road or hire a local taxi. For onward transit to Pfütsero town (23 km) or Tadubi border junction (14 km), arrange vehicle transfers in advance through your homestay host.
