From guiding friends in Kaziranga to designing slow, private journeys across four states.
The Meaning of Nezo
NE (Northeast) + Zo (Mizo for highlands / people of the hills).
The name reflects our heritage and purpose: deep, respectful exploration of the Northeast Indian highlands, guided exclusively by those who call them home.
In 2016, our founders Jadu, James, and Biraj were guiding friends through Kaziranga and nearby states when they saw how fragmented the experience was: extraordinary destinations, unreliable coordination, and travellers piecing together routes from outdated blogs and WhatsApp groups.
Nezo was created to give the Seven Sisters the destination management it deserved. Nine years later, we have designed thousands of trips, built deep relationships across four states, and kept the same operating principle: say yes only when we can do it well.
