No Inner Line Permit (ILP) Required: Indian citizens and foreign nationals do not require an Inner Line Permit (ILP) to enter Assam or visit Manas National Park.
Official Forest Department Passes & Entry Regulations
- Park Entry Pass: Issued at the Bansbari or Barpeta Road Forest Range Offices (₹100 per Indian national, ₹500 per foreign national for half-day; ₹200 / ₹1,000 for full-day).
- Safari Vehicle Entry Permit: ₹300 per jeep / shift for Indian registered vehicles; ₹500 for foreign visitors.
- Mandatory Forest Guide: Every safari vehicle must be accompanied by an official Forest Department guide/tracker (₹500–₹700 per shift).
- Elephant Safari: ₹1,400–₹1,850 per head for Indian nationals; ₹3,200–₹3,800 for foreign nationals (subject to forest department capacity and advance slot booking).
- Manas River Rafting: ₹8,500–₹10,500 per rubber raft (capacity 4–6 persons), including safety helmets, lifejackets, and certified river guides.
- Camera Tolls: Still digital cameras ₹100 (Indians) / ₹500 (Foreigners); commercial video equipment ₹500–₹1,000.
- Foreign Visitors: Require a valid Indian Visa (or e-Visa). No Protected Area Permit (PAP) is needed for Assam. Standard Form C registration is completed upon check-in at your eco-lodge.
