The nearest airport is Rowriah Airport (JRH) in Jorhat, 60 km (1.5 hours) from Sivasagar. Jorhat has direct flights from Kolkata. Sivasagar Town Railway Station has limited services. Sivasagar Railway Station is better connected with trains to Guwahati, Tinsukia, and Dibrugarh. For the best connectivity, use Jorhat Town Station (JTTN) or Mariani Junction (MXN), both within 60 km.
By Road
The most scenic approach is the 7-hour drive from Guwahati via NH15 through Nagaon, Kaziranga (great for a stopover), and Jorhat. The road is in good condition all the way. Private SUVs are the most comfortable option. State-run buses and private luxury buses also operate from Guwahati's ISBT to Sivasagar daily.
