Arrive in Dirang by early afternoon from Guwahati or Tezpur via the Nechiphu Tunnel. Check into your valley-view boutique homestay. Explore the living 17th-century stone citadel of Dirang Dzong and walk through historic Monpa dwellings. In the late afternoon, ascend to Thupsung Dhargye Ling Monastery for sunset prayers and 360-degree valley views. Overnight in Dirang for altitude acclimatization.

Sangti Valley, Hot Springs & Onward Ascent
Begin with an early morning drive along the Sangti River into Sangti Valley. Observe wintering Black-necked cranes in harvested paddy fields and explore organic kiwi orchards. Stop at the natural geothermal hot springs on your return. Depart after an early lunch toward Sela Tunnel and Tawang.
