Drive from Guwahati via the scenic OKSR highway through Kalaktang and Shergaon. Arrive in Dirang by mid-afternoon. Relax at the natural sulfur hot springs along the Dirang Chu riverbed. Evening walk through Dirang market to sample freshly baked Khura pancakes and butter tea.

Mandala Top 108 Stupas & Sangti Valley Birding
Depart early for Mandala Top (3,050 m). Walk the concentric clockwise kora around the 108 stupas and enjoy panoramic vistas of Eastern Himalayan peaks. Look for rare high-altitude birds including Ward's Trogon in the surrounding cloud forests. In the afternoon, descend to Sangti Valley for riverside picnic walks, sheep breeding farm visits, and Monpa village homestay tea.

Dirang Dzong, ICAR Yak Centre & Departure
Explore the historic Dirang Dzong and its subterranean prison cell. Visit the ICAR National Research Centre on Yak laboratory campus. Continue onward toward Tawang via the high-altitude Sela Tunnel.
