Torgya & Monastic Ceremonies
January
A 3-day monastic festival where resident lamas perform ritual Cham dances in ornate silk brocades and sacred masks at Thupsung Dhargye Ling to dispel negative energies and usher in peace and prosperity.
Sangti Valley Black-Necked Crane Season
November to March
A sacred seasonal event celebrated by local Monpa villagers upon the winter arrival of the endangered Black-necked cranes (Tung Tung Karmo) from Tibet, featuring community bird protection rites and eco-tours.
