Depart Kohima or Khonoma in the morning for the scenic drive along the Western Angami mountain track to Dzuleke. Arrive by noon and check into your DETB-assigned wooden homestay. Savor an organic lunch featuring Galho and seasonal greens. In the afternoon, take a guided walking tour of the village center: visit the ancient Dahu stone council meeting circle, the Angami Morung pavilion adorned with Mithun horn motifs, and the underground stream zone where the Dzuleke river sinks beneath karst boulders. Spend the evening gathered around the host family's woodfire hearth sharing stories and enjoying a traditional Naga dinner.

Sunrise Birding, Alder Terraces & Departure

Wake at dawn to the calls of mountain pheasants and songbirds. Embark on an early morning birdwatching walk along the edge of the community conservation forest looking for Chestnut Buntings and Blyth's Tragopans. After breakfast, visit the lower terraced wet-rice fields to learn about traditional Alder tree agroforestry (*Alnus nepalensis*) and gravity-fed aqueducts from village elders. Depart for Kohima or continue onwards to Khonoma Green Village by midday.

Drive from Kohima to Khonoma Green Village (20 km). Explore the historic 1879 Anglo-Naga war forts, Semoma Khel clan gates, and the Khonoma Nature Conservation and Tragopan Sanctuary (KNCTS). Overnight in Khonoma.

Forest Bridle Path Trek to Dzuleke

Trek the historic 18 km forest bridle path from Khonoma to Dzuleke through subtropical pine, oak, and rhododendron forests with a local guide. Arrive in Dzuleke by mid-afternoon, check into your eco-homestay, and relax by the crystal-clear trout stream. Evening hearth dinner.

Mithun Tracking & Barail Ridge Sanctuary Walk

Join village elders on a morning expedition into the high-altitude community forest to locate free-roaming semi-wild Mithun (*Bos frontalis*) herds. Learn about customary forest grazing laws and medicinal plant foraging. Afternoon relaxation and traditional Naga cooking workshop.

Cross-Ridge Excursion to Benreu / Return to Dimapur

Enjoy breakfast overlooking the mist-filled valley. Depart along the mountain road to explore Benreu Village at the base of Mount Pauna in Peren District, or drive directly down to Dimapur Airport / Railway Station for onward travel.
