Bum La Pass & Sangestar Tso (Madhuri Lake)
Excursion in a local 4x4 SUV to Bum La Pass (4,633 m / 15,200 ft) on the Indo-China LAC border. Visit the sacred Panga Teng Tso (PTSO) lake and Sangestar Tso with its submerged tree trunks. Return to Tawang by late afternoon.
Tawang to Bomdila
Begin the descent through the Sela Tunnel. Visit the thundering 100-meter Nuranang Falls near Jang. Arrive in Bomdila (2,415 m). Explore the Upper Bomdila Monastery and apple orchards.
Bomdila to Guwahati
Drive down through the Kameng river gorge and Tipi Orchid Research Centre. Cross the Bhalukpong gate into Assam and reach Guwahati by evening. Check into hotel.
Departure from Guwahati
Morning visit to Kamakhya Temple or Umananda Island on the Brahmaputra River. Transfer to Guwahati Airport (GAU) for onward flight.
